the secret to more energy

It’s *Think it Thursday* and I’m sharing with you the secret to more energy.

I’m teaching you something today that is my lifeline.

Some of you know I have chronic fatigue and it’s a constant challenge.

But this concept I’m telling you about, is a game changer.

Because we all get exhausted and worn out, especially as a mom.

My secret – energy management.

We hear a lot about time management, but the truth is that if you had more energy, you would make much better use of your time, right?

You can’t create more hours in the day, but you can create more energy.

There are certain things you do that energize you – maybe it’s alone time, maybe it’s social time.  Maybe it’s laughing or creating.  Take a minute to notice what energizes you.

There are other things that require more mental and emotional energy.  Leading kids in chores, balancing the budget, or sifting through your schedule for the week… stack these up and it could leave you spent, exhausted, with nothing left to give.

The key is to plan and manage your activities based on how they impact your energy.  The right combination is all the difference.

Think about this.  Time is finite.  There are 24 hour every day, period.

Energy is fluid.  You can manage your energy by building in plenty of activities that increase your energy, amongst those that drain it.

So today, here is your assignment:

List energizing and energy-depleting activities.  Plan them in to support you having sustained energy.  Revisit this idea often and just notice how you have the ability to manage your energy.

Magic.

Have a great day – one thought at a time!

6 Strangers: Nine Weeks Later

It’s *Think it Thursday* and last week I had coaching calls with 6 strangers.

I had met these women before.

And I’d been working with them for 9 weeks.

But they were completely different than the women I had spoken with 3 months earlier.

In October they were unclear on where to start with priorities. They didn’t know how to begin to eliminate overwhelm. They knew they needed better self-care, but had no idea where to start.

We spent 9 week together and everything changed.

The calls I had with them last week – were incredible.

Every one of them had experienced improvement in their marriage.

They each understood exactly where their focus should be in the new year.

They felt more at peace with the direction of their life.

And the best part – they felt more confident in themselves and their ability to make their life what they really want it to be.

What’s better than that?

Not much.

I don’t believe in second chances

It’s *Think it Thursday* and I don’t believe in second chances…

At least I don’t believe it ends there.

You may have set a goal for 2018. And you may already feel that you’re failing.

Or the fear that you will fail might be lingering in the back of your mind.

That doubt and fear, is the worst. And when we fear we won’t make it, we usually don’t.

It’s not so much the fear of failing this time that’s the issue. It’s the fear that we’ll never succeed at all.

Imagine for a minute…

Think about a lofty goal that you have.

What if you knew, without a doubt, that you’d achieve it.

What if a crystal ball revealed it, and you knew it would happen.

How much different would your experience of failure be then?

If you overate today, you wouldn’t stay stuck in defeat. You would know it was just a set back and you’d keep going.

If you yelled at your kids (again), you could assure yourself that you would get better and to keep trying.

If you went over budget because you forgot to account for that one thing- it wouldn’t be the end of the world. You would know you were learning. And for sure, you would get there.

Where are you falling short of your expectations and what would be different if you knew you would get there? How can you instill that hope and willingness to persevere?

The magic of becoming better is that you always get more than just a second chance. You have a lifetime to get there.

Commit.

Don’t quit.

And you’ll get there.

Have a great day, one thought at a time!

Easier Than Ever

As you start your week, make a list of 5 things that come easily to you now that used to be hard.

It can be anything.

When I first started my business it was really hard for me to make changes to my website. There were so many things to figure out and it was all new. It seemed complicated and difficult.

Now, it’s no problem. I’ve learned how to do it without batting an eye. I got through the hard part and now it’s easy.

It’s useful to make this list and look at it to see how far you’ve come.

Because of course, you now have a list of 5 things that seem really hard to you. They might seem complicated or difficult. But the only reason they seem that way is that you haven’t done them yet.

One day the five things that are difficult today will be on your “this is easy list.”

The only thing between now and then is time and practice. That’s it.

Make the list.

Celebrate your success.

Remember that it’s possible.

Have a great week!

A Deadline

What have you been putting off doing in your business?

You know, that one little thing that seems like a pain? Or too time consuming?

I want you to set a deadline. Today. Now, in fact.

When will you do it?

What’s the time frame you’ll allow for it?

And what will you finally be able to move forward with when you do it?

Set the deadline. Make it happen. Move forward with your goals.

Have a great week!
