Draw the line

I’m working with my group to help them draw a line between work and family time.

As an at-home business owner, this can be pretty hard to do.

Schedules need to be separate.
Priorities need to be separate.

Your brain needs to create separation in your focus.

Even though it may seem hard, it’s totally worth it.

It will start off being a tiny bit successful, but over time it can become a practice that comes easily to you.

Where do you need to draw a line of separation in your time?

How often are you focused on the task at hand and how often are you somewhere else in your mind?

What needs to happen today to make one small positive change?

Think about it.
Make it happen.

Have a great day – one thought at a time!

2 more lives

It’s *Think it Thursday* and 2 more lives…

This week 2 more women signed up to start coaching with me.
Do you know what this means?

It means they have made a decision that their life and happiness matters.

They are tired of feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.
They are tired of feeling like they aren’t doing enough.
They are fed up with being ineffective, stuck in a rut, and downright unhappy.

And so, they decided to bet on themselves.

It wasn’t easy for either of them.
It was hard for them to think about spending money on themselves and scary to fear that it wouldn’t really make a difference.
Can you relate?

They both said, “it’s not you, it’s me.”  “I’m just afraid I can’t make these changes.”
But both of them, decided to bet on themselves.

They chose to believe they could do it and that more was possible.
And of course, they can do it.
It’s not just possible, it’s happening.

How can you bet on yourself today? Maybe you’re ready for a call with me, and maybe you’re not.
Either way, take a minute to think about what needs to change and how you can make it happen.

How will you take a step toward eliminating overwhelm?
How will you feel more satisfied in your life and relationships?
How will you have more confidence in who you are as an amazing and vibrant woman?

Think about it.
Bet on yourself.
Make it happen.

Have a great day, one thought at a time!

And YES – I do have a spot for you too.  Click here if you’re ready to have a conversation about it.

Mindset Monday: When you just don’t want to.

It’s time for *Mindset Monday* and sometimes, we just don’t want to.

We don’t want to work.
We don’t want to face our fears.
We don’t want to do… anything.

When you’re running a business and managing a family, the days of “I don’t want to.” will come.  Sometimes more often than we’d like to admit.

Lately there’s been so much on my plate and so much on my mind, that I’ve noticed my brain wanting to sink into the “I don’t want to” slump.  Thankfully, I know that “I don’t want to,” isn’t true at all.

Just because I don’t feel like something in the moment, doesn’t mean that I don’t want to do it in my life.

Of course I want to work.  I have an amazing business that helps people every single day.  It provides for my family and allows me the satisfaction of making a difference in the world.

Of course I want to face my fears.  If I don’t, I’ll simply stay stagnant and end up dissatisfied with life.  I won’t help anyone if I stay stuck.

And of course, I want to do the housework and take care of my family.  I’m building something amazing in our home.  It’s so worth every effort that I put in.

So just because I don’t feel like it, doesn’t mean I don’t want to.

I want to show up.
I want to do the work.

Even when it’s hard or inconvenient, I want to do it.

I’m all in.
How about you?

Have a great week!

Mompreneur, you never “have to.”

Time for *Mindset Monday* and it’s all about making choices.

There are a lot of things we do, that we don’t love to do.

We often say, “I have to…”

Make sales calls.

Go over the budget.

Do the dishes.

Do the laundry.

It seems we don’t have a choice. We are obligated.  We believe we are a victim of our circumstances. We are stuck doing something that we “don’t want to do.”

This is a complete lie.  You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do.  You don’t have to make sales calls, but you probably WANT to so that you can increase your profit.

You don’t have to do the dishes, but you probably WANT to so that you have clean dishes to eat on.

Everything we do is a choice.  If we want certain rewards or results, then we WANT to do what it takes to get those.

Starting now and for the rest of the week – think about all of the choices you make.  When you find yourself feeling obligated doing something you “have to” do, you can remind yourself that it’s a total lie.  Do you want to do it?  Why or why not?  If you decide that you WANT to do it, then own that choice.

I want to go over the budget… so I can have money in the bank.

I want to do the laundry… so we have clean clothes to wear.

I even want to pay my taxes… so that I don’t go to jail.

They are all choices.  Own them and love them.  Start saying, “I want to.”

Don’t be a victim.  Be the creator of your life and success.

Have a great week!
