For many of us, bookkeeping and accounting–money in general–can bring up a wide range of strong emotions. You might feel intimidation, uncertainty, discomfort or even anxiety. It can be overwhelming enough to handle your personal finances but now you also have your business finances.

You don’t have to have all the skills perfect to get started in your business. In fact, you really should be moving your business forward while continuing to acquire skills. So if you don’t have everything quite there yet, or even if you haven’t yet figured everything out, it’s really okay.

Two of the foundational pieces for coaches these days is an online presence and branding. After all, how will you quickly reach more of those people who need you without leveraging technology? And how will they know you’re right for them without powerful, accurate branding?

Making sure your business is legal is foundational and brings you so much peace of mind. Knowing everything is good allows you to focus on the more fun parts of building your coaching business. But how do you insure legality? What do you need? Where do you even begin?

A strong foundation isn’t the most exciting topic but it’s critical to create a thriving, growing business. So where is your foundation strong? Where is it weak? With the right foundation, it’s easier and more fun to make money, change lives and expand your business. But, if one area isn’t strong, if it’s breaking down, it will affect the others.
